AlarOnline Order Entry System
ALARONLINE is our dynamic online trading platform. It allows the futures and options customer the freedom to manage their trading account with the simple click of a mouse. With ALARONLINE customers can electronically place or cancel futures and options orders, including spreads, on any futures contract. ALARONLINE also allows customers to check out their filled orders, open positions, working orders, parked orders, account status, and real-time quotes. ALARONLINE is the one-stop shop for the futures and options trader.
This system has been designed to enable individual customers and brokers with many accounts to efficiently create and manage their orders. Currently, the system operates as a front end to the CME's TOPS network which delivers orders to Open Outcry markets at all U.S. Exchanges and also connects to GLOBEX2. We hope to complete our connectivity to the CBOT's A/C/E system very shortly.
This system is not browser based, but is what is known as a Thin Client. All information about orders is maintained locally instead of on a remote server. This means that in the event of a communications failure, the User has all order information available without having to wait for a clerk try and track it down.
Having a local client eliminates much of the back and forth calling to web pages that can bog down and slow the delivery of orders, and that makes the system very fast and responsive.
Finally, a local client can operate with several screens simultaneously, and that makes the system easy to customize to the User's needs.
